Composition - Using A Cross Layout
Using A Cross Layout For Strong Compositions
Another usable format for composition is the crux (crucifix or cross.)
This is divided near center and about two thirds the other way. A bulls-eye cross or an equal division of the piece is not pleasing to the viewer unless it is for target practice as a bulls-eye. When working with this composition it needs about two thirds of the surface active and interesting.
